Self-publishing can be a real pain, you know? Often a self-publisher creates and works in a virtual vacuum, not knowing if people will actually read or buy their work. It can be very frustrating.
However, a new participant to the world of self-publishing has entered the arena, but her work has hardly been in a vacuum! Our own Susan Howerter has self-published a book titled, "The Stocking Stuffer Steve Book."
Want a copy? Yes? It's only $9.95! (the price includes postage and handling). Hey, it's a great book and a perfect stocking stuffer for your favorite Mac-person!

Isn't it nice?
Hasn't it been nice lately to pick up a newspaper, a periodical geared to computer users, or to watch a news report on TV that actually has nice things to say about Apple again? It's amazing what a difference a year... and four consecutive profitable quarters... can make!
Maybe it's time...
for Apple to take control of print advertising for those "few" Apple vendors and to finally start showing what is really available for computer users. I've had enough of picking up the CompUSA flyer, which comes once every other Sunday, to find absolutely nothing for the Macintosh listed in it. It was even more discouraging on the weekend that Apple was having a big "to-do" at CompUSA presenting Mac OS 8.5 and not find one, I repeat, NOT ONE mention of the new product! Let me guess what the excuse will be this time... "advertising is set up months in advance, we have no control or knowledge of what will be forthcoming." Yeah, right! Somebody's dropping the ball, and I'd like to know if it's Apple or CompUSA.
What a blast!
